Mandy Fiegel is the Program Manager for the Outreach Case Coordinator (OCC) Program within the Crisis Services Bureau of the Denver Police Department. She was one of the original OCCs when the program launched in 2020 and was promoted to supervisor in 2022. Mandy oversees a $170,000 annual budget used to directly support individuals in crisis with essential needs such as rental assistance and transportation. She works closely with command staff and patrol officers across all districts, following up on mental health-related calls and welfare checks. Since its inception, the OCC Program has outreached to over 4,000 individuals. Under Mandy’s leadership, the program has been revamped and referral processes streamlined, improving both efficiency and impact. With over 17 years of experience in social work, Mandy continues to bridge the gap between public safety and social services to strengthen community support.
