Abby Esquivel is the Outreach Case Coordinator (OCC) for the Denver Police Department’s District 4. Since joining the OCC program in 2024, she has outreached approximately 400 individuals, both within and outside her assigned district. Her work has directly contributed to helping around 20 individuals secure and maintain stable housing. Abby partners closely with District 4 command staff and patrol officers, providing follow-up on mental health-related calls, substance use, and welfare checks. She is passionate about building trust and rapport with the people she serves, working to bridge the gap between public safety and social services. Abby’s approach focuses on compassion, connection, and stability, helping individuals feel supported and empowered during times of crisis. Her commitment to community care reflects the Department’s broader mission of providing effective, person-centered support.
