Andrea M. Webber has worked for criminal justice agencies for over 10 years. She is an expert in her field with extensive experience in public safety, legal compliance, and records management. She currently serves as the Records Administrator for the Denver Department of Public Safety (DOS), a role she has held since 2019. In this capacity, Andrea oversees the release of records and information under the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) and the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act (CCJRA) for various agencies, including the Denver Police, Denver Sheriff, Denver Fire, 9-1-1, and Pretrial Services.
Andrea's responsibilities include researching, compiling, and reviewing confidential and privileged information/data, ensuring compliance with statutory laws to protect privacy and sensitive information. She acts as the Public Information Officer, responding to media requests and serving as the designated custodian of record to law firms, the public, City Council, and other governmental agencies. Andrea also provides guidance to Public Information Offices, Civil Liability Bureaus, and Data Analytics Teams within each agency.
Before joining DOS, Andrea managed operations at the Office of the Denver District Attorney since 2014, overseeing the County Court, Juvenile, and Drug Units.
Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver, with a major in International Business and a minor in Legal Studies.
