Chief Michael Miksch retired after 30 years of service in law enforcement. He has served as Chief of Police for the Town of Hanson for 12 years. He previously served as the Chief of Police for the Town of Carver, Massachusetts. Prior to being appointed Chief of Police in Carver he was in charge of internal affairs, served as patrol supervisor, D.A.R.E Officer, School Resource Officer and Community Liaison Officer. He is also an instructor at the Plymouth Police Academy since 2013 teaching both recruit and veteran officers. He is currently the Law Enforcement Liaison for Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz, where he assists with the Community Resource Dog Program.
Miksch has a Masters in Criminal Justice from Western New England College and a Bachelors in History from Bridgewater State College. He is also a graduate of the 241st session of the FBI National Academy.
