Chief Superintendent Shannon Dawson has a diverse police experience spanning 29 years, during this time she has held a wide spectrum of positions resulting in extensive knowledge and experience in police operations, investigations and community policing.
She has held positions in the Drug Squad, Homicide Squad, Covert Operations Source Management Section and Criminal Investigative Bureaus.
She has been the Unit Commander of Intelligence Services and 32 Division. In these roles she actively engaged with community members, stakeholders, and partner agencies to address public safety concerns, build trust, and foster collaborative partnerships.
Shannon Dawson has been the Chief Superintendent of Field Services and East Field Command and is currently the Chief Superintendent of Professionalism and Accountability. In this role she oversees Professional Standards, Respectful Workplace, Audit and Quality Assurance and Risk Mitigation and Recognition.
Shannon Dawson has an Honours Bachelor of Applied Arts in Justice Studies from the University of Guelph- Humber.
