Dr. Andrew Dennis has had a storied career as a leader in academic trauma surgery, law enforcement and in the entertainment industry. He currently directs education and chairs of the Division of Resuscitative and Pre-Hospital Traumatology at the historic Cook County Trauma Burn & Unit in Chicago Il. He is a Professor of Surgery at Rush University and the Chair of the Department of Surgery at Midwestern University. Dr. Dennis is an accomplished speaker, educator, author and an extensively published researcher. Dr. Dennis is a twenty-five-year public safety veteran having served as a paramedic and sworn police officer throughout his career. He is currently the Chief Medical Officer (sworn) and Statewide EMS Medical Director at the Illinois State Police, Northern Illinois Police Alarm System SWAT team, and a Trauma Medical Director for the Chicago Fire Department. Dr. Dennis consults widely various industries including pharma, tech and entertainment. He and his wife Melissa have a long standing career in film and television as Medical Producers for NBC's “Chicago One” series (Chicago Med, Fire,PD) as well as many other network and studio TV and film productions.
