Dr. Edrick H. Dorian is the Chief Police Psychologist of the Los Angeles Police Department and serves as the commanding officer of its Behavioral Sciences Services group. For over two decades, he has provided clinical, training, and consultative services to military veterans and law enforcement personnel. He is double board certified in Clinical Psychology and in Police & Public Safety Psychology, co-editor of the scholarly volume Police Psychology and Its Growing Impact on Modern Law Enforcement, and past recipient of the LAPD Command Officers Excellence in Leadership Award, the International Association of Chiefs of Police Leadership in Police & Public Safety Psychology Award, and Pepperdine University’s Distinguished Alumni Award. He held faculty appointments at California State University Northridge, Pepperdine University, and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA prior to joining the LAPD in 2006.
