Dr. Jessie Semmann obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a formal emphasis in Forensic Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Throughout graduate school, she completed clinical training in forensic mental health services and in a state prison conducting various risk assessments and psychological evaluations. Her dissertation examined targeted violence in K-12 schools. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Phoenix VA Healthcare System where she later worked as an inpatient psychologist and served as a member of the facility's Disruptive Behavior Committee, a multidisciplinary threat assessment team. Following her time with the VA, she worked for a police and public safety psychology agency (Psychological Dimensions) conducting pre-employment screenings and fitness for duty evaluations. Currently, she serves as the Director of Threat Assessment and Management at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. She is a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
