Robert Force has been a member of the Colorado State Patrol since 2011 and has served the past eleven (11) years as the Director of the Colorado Automobile Theft Prevention Authority, a business unit of the Colorado State Patrol. Mr. Force has over 43 years of experience working in law enforcement, and retired in 2003 as an Assistant Chief of Police in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, spent eight years as a New Mexico certified law enforcement master instructor, served as a Governor’s appointed member on the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy Board, then moved to Colorado where he began working for the Colorado State Patrol. Mr. Force holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Criminal Justice and Law & Society from New Mexico State University, is a graduate of both the FBI National Academy #202 and the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command Class 63. Mr. Force is an appointed member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Vehicle Crimes Committee, serves as a Director on the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators, and President of the Western Regional Chapter.
