Dr. Michelle Hoy-Watkins is a licensed clinical psychologist with 25 years of experience providing clinical, forensic, and police & public safety psychological services. She is board certified in Police & Public Safety Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). Her career has spanned employment at various federal, state, and local correctional centers, law enforcement agencies, and forensic mental health settings conducting criminal forensic psychological evaluations, police psychological services, and campus and workplace violence risk and behavioral threat assessment. Dr. Hoy-Watkins is a threat assessment consultant for the Illinois State Police Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Team. She served as a Threat Assessment Consultant for Advocate & Atrium Health, the University of Notre Dame, and was the inaugural Director of Threat Assessment for Northwestern University. Dr. Hoy-Watkins is President of the American Academy of Police & Public Safety Psychology. As former Chair of Forensic Psychology at The Chicago School, she developed a violence prevention program, now funded by the Reimagine Public Safety Act.
