Dr. Hunter Martaindale is Director of Research and Associate Research Professor at the ALERRT Center at Texas State University. A nationally recognized expert in active shooter response, law enforcement tactics, and decision-making, he oversees ALERRT research agenda. His research focuses on high-stakes decision-making and performance under stress, and his work is widely published in criminology, psychology, and occupational health journals. Dr. Martaindale has authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles, including recent studies on tactical decision-making, physiological stress markers in first responders, and the role of perceptual training in active threat response.
