John Blackledge, Palm Bay Police Deputy Chief (ret.), served in virtually every capacity from patrol officer to executive management with over 40 years of full-time law enforcement experience. John's a co-author of BLUE360's flagship leadership book--Law Enforcement Leadership, Management and Supervision. John graduated from UCF with a Pre-Law Degree-Summa Cum Laude in addition to attending the FBI-NA-193rd. During his law enforcement tenure John received numerous awards for training, leadership and innovative law enforcement programs.
As Blackledge Enterprises, John provides leadership training, organization consultation, expert witness, and his own unique "Florida Legal Tactics" training program. John is the lead legal and leadership program instructor at Eastern Florida State College for more than 35 years. He's known for applying practical real-world approaches and experience to support police agency training. John's is currently Vice President of Bansbach Tactical, a private sector company, specialiing in Aerospace-Defense manufacturing. He also serves as a Reserve Sheriff's Sergeant for the Training Unit at Brevard Sheriff's Office.
