Kenneth Mead retired from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in 2023 after nearly 26 years of service. His assignments included patrol, gang investigations, counterterrorism, FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, academy instructor, and, lastly, was the program coordinator for LVMPD’s Threat Assessment Program for Terrorism and Targeted Violence.
Kenneth Mead has a bachelor degree in abnormal psychology, a masters degree in criminal Justice, and a post-graduate certification in forensic psychology. Kenneth is a consultant for the International Association of Chiefs of Police Mass Violence Advisory Initiative and the Institute for Intergovernmental Research. He has coordinated projects with the New York-based Gun Violence Research Consortium and the use of Extreme Risk Protection Orders with Johns Hopkins University.
Kenneth is employed as the Regional Security Advisor/Nevada working with Secure Community Network: the official safety and security organization for the Jewish community in North America. In said role, he is responsible the safety, security, and training for 53 facilities and a Jewish population of approximately 76,000.
