Kerry Baker began his law enforcement career as a patrol officer with Kansas City, Missouri Police Department in 1996 before being promoted to Homicide Detective in 2000. He received his Federal appointment as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service in 2002 where he also served as a physical fitness coordinator and a computer forensics examiner. He transferred to Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Inspector General in 2008 and served as a defensive tactics instructor for 10 years. Kerry retired from Federal service in 2022 before returning to KCPD as a civilian Wellness Specialist in 2023. He is a proud husband, father, former Girl Scout Leader and United States Army Infantry veteran.
