Sociologist with a major in Social Sciences applied to International Relations from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and Master in Communication from Universidad Internacional de la Rioja.
She has more than 13 years of experience in the Ecuadorian public sector. She has conducted studies in citizen security, defense and crime prevention. She was a researcher for the Civil-Military Relations Democracy, Security and Defense Project of Konrad Adenauer and Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. Her trajectory includes outstanding specialized advisory roles in the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador. She served as Undersecretary for the Ecuadorian Migrant Community and Director of Inter-institutional Articulation for Citizen Security at the Ministry of the Interior.
Currently, she serves as Undersecretary for Citizen Security and Crime and Violence Prevention, where she leads key initiatives to strengthen inter-institutional coordination for security in the school context and the prevention of recruitment of children and adolescents by organized crime groups.
