FGM Architects
Most of Brian 30+ year career has been dedicated to public safety and municpal facility design and planning. He has developed strong partnerships in the public safety community resulting in award-winning projects that support an increase in operational efficiency and employee wellbeing while providing a stronger connection to the communities the organizations serve. In 2019, Brian was one of 5 architects selected nationally to be on the IACP Police Facilities Design Guidelines Advisory Committee to help revise this 20-year-old dated guide. Brian’s creative solutions balance each client’s program needs and budget, while also providing unique contextual designs that convey a strong sense of place and community pride. His designs focus on safety and security and also promote sustainable and high-performance building goals through daylighting strategies, improved thermal envelope, and renewable energy. Brian has presented at various conferences such as the IACP, the AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice, state Municipal Leagues, and Station Design. Brian’s work has also been published in various publications and has garnered over 45 design awards.
