Rich Johnson currently serves as the Associate Director of Asset Readiness for the AT&T Network Disaster Recovery and FirstNet Programs. Rich brings a distinguished background in public safety and emergency management. Previously as Division Chief of FEMA Region 9 for AT&T’s FirstNet Response Operations Group, he led nationwide collaborations with Public Safety and Emergency Management, driving advancements in interoperability, critical communications, deployable technology, and mobile security.
Before joining AT&T in 2020, Rich served over 25 years in Arizona law enforcement, retiring at the executive level. He held key emergency management roles, including Incident Commander during high-stakes events, and consistently demonstrated strong leadership in complex response operations.
Rich is also a respected national speaker on emergency communications and management.
