Dave Golden received a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Public Affairs degree at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dave received the Life Saving Medal, later promoting through the ranks to serve as Acting Deputy Chief and held Commands in every Division, as well as a Multi-County Narcotics Task Force. He was selected by his officers to receive the Supervisor of the Year Award and was the agency’s coordinator with the Dallas FBI for a 10-Year Investigation, the largest Terrorist money-laundering operation ever prosecuted in the USA. Shortly after the 9-11 attacks, he was recruited to retire after 26 years and join what would become the Department of Homeland Security.
Dave served DHS as the Senior Counterterrorism Intelligence Officer managing officers in the 8-state South-Central Region. After receiving the agency’s Intelligence Leadership Award from the Secretary of DHS, Dave retired, ending 18 years of service. He instructs at various Institutes and serves on the IACP Committee on Terrorism. Lt Golden now serves the Celina, Texas Police Department as the agency’s liaison for National Security Intelligence.
