Sergeant Cristina Solis was born in Los Angeles, California. As a young child, her family relocated to Mexico, where she lived for several years before returning to the greater Los Angeles area in 1986. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, and began her career with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in 2003 as a Police Service Representative.
In 2010, Sergeant Solis graduated from the Police Academy and served on patrol in Rampart, 77th Street, and Central Areas, as well as in specialized units such as the Community Relations Office and Vice. She is also a member of an Incident Management Team.
Sergeant Solis is currently assigned to the Employee Assistance Unit, where she provides support to families in crisis following the death of an LAPD employee, including those killed in the line of duty. She also co-manages the Chaplain and Honor Guard programs, ensuring every service is conducted with the highest levels of dignity and respect.
