Executive Director, Lieutenant (Ret.)
Blue Hat Foundation, Colorado, United States
Catherine Davis retired as a lieutenant in 2014 from the Denver Police Department after serving for over 30 years. Ten years were spent in District 6 where, in addition to day-to-day policing decisions, she was also responsible for developing operations plans for protest activity, including the Department's response to Occupy Denver protests. She served as an Aide to the Divison Chief of Patrol during operational planning for the 2008 Democratic National Convention and led a field force team. Her last two years were spent as a command officer in the Major Crimes Division overseeing the Sex Crimes Unit, Missing and Endangered Persons Unit, and Crisis Intervention Team.
In 2021, Cathy joined the Denver Police Department's Volunteers in Police Sevices Program (VIPS) and has utilized her skills with numerous programs, including assisting the Special Operations Division with planning for major events. In 2023, Cathy was recruited as the Executive Director of the Blue Hat Foundation, a nonprofit whose mission is to support the Denver Police family through financial, health, and wellbeing programs. She proudly continues to support the Department in both of these roles.
