Eric Lee is a 16-year law enforcement veteran serving in a municipal agency in McHenry County, IL. He recently returned to patrol after working as a detective with a county-wide Narcotics Task Force, where he was a three-time McHenry County Officer of the Year nominee for leading long-term investigations with state and federal partners.
Lee has served as a Field Training Officer, Firearms and Defensive Tactics Instructor. Since 2016, he’s been on the McHenry County SWAT Team, beginning as a ballistic shield operator, and being promoted to Assistant Team Leader in 2023. He is also a founding and current member of the Hostage Rescue Team, a specialized unit within McHenry County SWAT. He currently teaches numerous ILETSB Certified courses related to firearms and tactics. He was a featured presenter at the National Tactical Officer Association (NTOA) Conference in 2025.
Before law enforcement, he served as a U.S. Army Infantryman and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I in 2003.
