Melis Yilmaz Balban, Ph.D. is the founder and CEO of Neurosmart, a start-up company developing stress resilience training technologies for law enforcement. Dr. Balban received her PhD from Harvard University and studied human stress responses and interventions as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford School of Medicine. She is the leading author on several peer reviewed articles on the stress response in high profile scientific journals. Neurosmart technology is currently used in multiple police agencies across the United States and Canada and has been awarded multiple competitive SBIR grant from the National Science Foundation.
