Deputy Chief Lem Moore has served with the Derby Police Department since 2023, overseeing budgeting, internal investigations, training, and daily operations. He brings over 31 years of law enforcement experience, retiring from the Wichita Police Department as Interim Chief. His diverse career included roles in DARE, Neighborhood Watch, the Exploited and Missing Children Unit, undercover narcotics, professional standards, and community policing. A former U.S. Marine Corps Reservist, Moore holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Tabor College and a Master’s in Public Administration from Wichita State University. He is committed to professional development, public safety, and building strong community partnerships.
