Carlos D. Gonzalez is a military veteran, and a second-generation law enforcement officer who served as the Director of Training and Research for one of the largest police departments in the U.S. As a retired police chief, he possesses vast experience in matters pertaining to law enforcement and community relations. During his career, he has researched, created, developed, and personally instructed numerous courses for local and federal agencies, military, international police, and other agencies in the U.S. He has been responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of all facets of training for tens of thousands of law enforcement personnel.
Carlos is a recognized expert in police practice, training and use of force, the CEO of Blue Theory consultation, and serves on several boards and university research teams that focus their research and studies on community perception of police, human factors and behavior associated with police activities and macro-cognition. The goal is to improve police capability, decision making and critical thinking ability and have agencies understand the concept of organizational learning and performance.
