Dr. James Engall is a neuroscientist and strategic leader specializing in brain injury prevention and blast overpressure mitigation. As President and Co-Founder of Blast Analytics and Mitigation, Inc. (BAaM), Dr. Engall leads a team focused on protecting warfighters, law enforcement, and high-risk personnel from the effects of repeated low-level blast exposure. ith a doctorate in Physiological Psychology from UC Davis and postdoctoral training in Neuroscience at the University of Arizona, Dr. Engall’s research background centers on the aging brain, neuroplasticity, neuropathology, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and cumulative blast-related trauma. In addition to his current roles at BAaM, he currently serves as Adjunct Associate Professor at Dominican University of California, where he teaches neuroscience to aspiring medical students, occupational therapy and is a mentor to students who are interested in translational brain research.
