Integrating Data from Multiple Sources in Preemployment Evaluations: A Model, Empirical Findings, and Case Illustrations
Sunday, October 19, 2025
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM MT
Location: 403/404, Colorado Convention Center
Psychologists conducting preemployment evaluations must integrate information from multiple sources, including assessments of normal and abnormal personality, biodata, background investigations, and clinical interviews. This presentation introduces a conceptually driven model for synthesizing data across these domains, supported by empirical findings on the relationships among these sources and their associations with hiring outcomes. Case examples will illustrate the model’s practical application. The session will focus on identifying the incremental contributions of each information source and examining how hiring risks may—or may not—be mitigated by life experiences.
