    Community Safety Requires Trust: Guidance for Applying the IACP Trust Building Campaign Across Public Safety Sectors

    The IACP Trust Building Campaign seeks to enhance trust between police agencies and the communities they serve by fostering positive community–police partnerships that promote safe, effective interactions; create strategies to prevent and reduce crime; and improve the well-being and quality of life for all. In this presentation, chairs from the IACP Community Safety Policy Council will unpack the critical importance of trust building for promoting public safety, reflecting on needs and opportunities related to the campaign and its connection to improved safety outcomes. Presenters will share take-home applications for agencies to integrate trust-building strategies across sectors, including victim services, community safety, juvenile justice, and crime prevention.
