Community Awareness Program 2.0: A Next-Gen Approach to Preventing Radicalization, Terrorism, and Criminal Activity

This presentation introduces the Community Awareness Program 2.0 (CAP 2.0), an innovative, research-driven initiative designed to help community members identify and address emerging threats such as radicalization, terrorism, and crime. Developed by the Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (CELL), CAP 2.0 integrates interactive e-learning, scenario-based training, and case studies to enhance engagement and retention. Drawing on insights from law enforcement, behavioral experts, and security professionals, the program supports public safety agencies, businesses, and citizens in threat detection, reporting, and prevention. By leveraging public–private partnerships, CAP 2.0 fosters a proactive, collaborative approach to community safety.
