Down Under Policing Technology—Old Challenges, New Solutions

The Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA) serves as the leading body providing policing foresight and advising on consistent, best-practice approaches across Australian and New Zealand jurisdictions. Like their global counterparts, these agencies face the growing challenge of adapting to the impact of emerging technologies on the criminal landscape. At the same time, they are actively exploring innovative ways to leverage these technologies to prevent, disrupt, and resolve crime more effectively. This session will offer an overview of the strategies being developed and adopted across Australia and New Zealand and will showcase specific technology-based initiatives that jurisdictions have implemented—or are currently developing—across the region.
